Quality (week 17)

  1. the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something.
    “an improvement in product quality”
  2.  a distinctive attribute or characteristic possessed by someone or something.

Think about the implications of the word quality for a minute.

At first my mind thinks of things that are well made, creative, and have durable materials, then, it shifts over to people I hold very close to my heart, where the connection is effortless, deep, and magnetizing, lastly, it thinks of consumption, and the wide range of high and low quality things we have the option of consuming each and every day.

Taking life span into consideration I believe honoring quality things and experiences, while often monetarily is more expensive in the moment, longterm you wind up saving.  You save on doctors visits because you eat clean vs cheap.  You purchase an item once and it lasts you 10 awesome years rather than the less expensive version you have to buy 4 times.  You save your energy because it isn’t waisted on connections that don’t add value you to your life.

Every day we make choices in all arenas of life that compound over time.  Which areas do you feel you can improve upon?

Ways that I shared QUALITY in class this week:

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

I connect my breath and movement with quality.

QUALITY- It’s in the details. The fine print. The eye contact. The smile.

I surround myself with quality company.
